animation blog 5

Animation blog 5

My tutor told me, instead of creating one big animation, instead focus on small animations. So I created my idle poseand added a breathing animation. When making my idle pose I noted that the postion isn’t always competely striaght so the legs need to be slightly apart  and the chest needs to be upwards. In order to create the breathing, I make the shoulders move up and down, also I make the head move back and forth ever so slightly, which is what we humans do when we breath. When I finished my animation it still didn’t look right, so to solve this I added a slight bit of motion to the leg

Here is a video of my idle pose

The next animation I created was the chop. To start off with I place Max into a position showing him with one arm anticipating the chop and with the other arm in the holding position. I also added a facial expression in order to make him look more aggressive by making his eyebrows point downwards and making his teeth grit. I also move his legs outward to make him look more supported.

When doing this, I had to use the graph editor, because if you notice the hand is twisted and on the graph editor it is represented by the white line which is notably taller than the others.

To fix this I move the line downwards.
